While I’ve really enjoyed having little T around for two whole weeks, I have to admit I’m actually relieved that she goes back to school on Monday. Phew.
We really didn’t do much actually and couldn’t really get away either because of our much delayed house move. Instead we did a lot of day trips out to National Trust properties, a day out on Crealy (an adventure park), had playdates, walked on the beach and had meals in lovely restaurants, which we normally wouldn’t really do. Having said all that, my word of the week would be:
Although to be fair, we’ve also had a few relaxed stay-ins, watching dvds and T doing lots of drawings as mentioned on my previous post. She absolutely loves to draw and wants to be an artist one day.
We don’t have any plans over the weekend, apart from practice her cello which she hasn’t touched in ages. The weather doesn’t look so promising so we’ll probably just stay in and do loads of relaxing and resting in time for school on Monday. Hopefully, we’ll be back in the daily grind of things.
What about you?
Do you have anything lovely planned this weekend?
Do share.
That sounds like the perfect way to wind down from the tiring and fun holidays and get ready for the return to school. Foolishly, I’ve invited a couple of Boo’s school friends over on Sunday – it’ll be chaos and not in the least bit relaxing! Hope you have a good one, thanks for sharing with #WotW x

That’s also a lovely way to end the easter break 😉
I can’t believe the Easter break is almost over already, crazy how quick it goes. I am doing my first obstacle course run of the year on Sunday and I am a bit worried about it :/ Preparing for aches and bruises x
Oh good luck! Hope you won’t have too much aches and bruises. x
It sounds like you’ve had a lovely Easter break – it sounds pretty full on to me! I love a National Trust visit and also a DVD session on the sofa – I’d be very happy round at yours! Have a lovely relaxing weekend – no plans always makes me happy!

It sounds like you have had a lovely Easter holidays…I can see why you are tired. It sounds like you have a great weekend planned. x

Thank you. I’m just glad she’ll be back in school, especially since she missed it too. x
A quiet relaxing weekend sounds just the ticket to help you recharge your batteries. Has your house move been delayed? #wotw
Yes it has! But when I’m less emotional about it, will write about what happened. x
We have done almost nothing this week and it has certainly suited me. H has a friend round today and we have a couple of trips planned for next week as there are teacher days.

Sounds like the perfect way to relax after the easter break. We not doing anything this weekend as hubby is unfortunately under the weather but I’ll take Blake out to the park.

Sounds like the perfect end to the holidays: we are back at swimming lessons and dinner with family on Sunday. X
I do love having the family on Sundays. Sadly not for us 🙁 My family is oceans away and my in-laws are about a 5-hour drive away. x
Sounds perfect, and a lovely end to the easter holidays. My children broke up today for two weeks and we have a trip to London planned which I am so excited for!! Also my eldest turns twelve, lots of exciting things ahead!

Happy Birthday to your eldest! Haven’t visited London for almost a year. We used to go regularly, must visit again soon! x
Ha – stressed, tired and READY are words for me. I genuinely haven’t enjoyed this holiday – it’s been rubbish. I’m usually that mum that is desperate for the hols to start but E has been teething and grumpy, the boys have been cooped up due to the weather and therefore scraping and arguing, my work deadlines have gone up and up…. it’s been awful! H x

House moving can be so stressful… So I’m glad you get to wind down after a holiday (a good one, I hope)!
Thank you.. and yes, I never ever want to move house again.
The school hols can be tiring and mental – this sounds like such a nice way to get ready for school again
It definitely is tiring. I’m hoping we can try to go back to T’s sleeping early-habits before Monday.
Nothing planned as of yet. Annoyingly the weather is still looking a bit showery, but might leave N on the farm tomorow while I go and look at cars again, and on Sunday find somewhere to go and visit.
How exciting – a new car! 🙂 Can’t wait to see what you’ve decided on 🙂
This weekend, I’ll be driving back from our week long holiday. I’m also looking forward to a rest after a week looking after four kids (with my wife) and keeping them entertained on holiday. Exhausting!

The holidays seem to have just flown by! Where has the time gone? It’s supposed to be sunny today so we’re going to go out adventuring. Where? No idea! 😀

We only started our half term break this week so its another week for us! We always go out as much (weather permits) this week too and yes it could be tiring!

My goddaughter and her brother go back on Tuesday so I am taking them out for the day to give their Mum some time to sort herself out and get all the school stuff ready, she is so tired after the holidays.

I think a lot of parents were relieved when the Easter holidays were over, they were very long here in Ireland this year, almost three weeks! It can be so hard keeping little ones entertained over the holidays.
Wow, three weeks? That’s lovely if you’re lucky enough to plan a trip abroad 🙂
Sounds like a perfect way to end a perfect break. Hope you guys had lots of fun!
We did, thank you! 🙂
The weather was beautiful in the Lakes so we went to the seaside, soft play with friends and played outside! Hubs cleared out the garage and O picked the winning horse on the Grand National. Great weekend! X

Wow, congratulations to O. We also picked horses, but our choices were losers.
Sounds like a very busy time, I hope you’re resting a bit now that school is back!xx
