My Top Three Electric Range Cookers

To me, nothing spells country than having a range cooker in the kitchen.  In my ideal world, it would be an Aga like this one.

Yes, it can only happen in my dreams, since these cookers when bought brand new, probably cost about eight grand, maybe even more than that.  And I for one, can’t afford something as expensive as that, unless I win the lottery, but that would mean having to buy a ticket, which I never do.  Maybe, it’s about time I did?

When we move to our new house next week, we will be needing a new cooker.  There is a current freestanding one in the house, but it looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in ages (or maybe it just needs a good clean?)  And since I have neither the money nor the space, (it’s a small galley kitchen), I’ve been looking up on affordable electric cookers online.  I don’t like gas, I’m too paranoid for that.

1. Stoves Mini-Electric Range.

2.  Rangemaster Classic Electric:__resize--454-gt-x356-gt-2Both one and two look a little bit like my dream range-cooker sans the hefty price tag that goes with buying an Aga.  Would’ve loved a double oven, both sadly both only have a separate grill and one oven.  But that’s fine by me.

3.  And lastly, the Belling Electric Range Cooker in Stainless Steel:

But even this is too ambitious, not the price, but the size.  I doubt if this will fit, so I might have to settle with either 1 or two.

What would be your choice?  Are you familiar with any of the three?

Or can you suggest an affordable electric range cooker?

Do share.

  1. I have always wanted a Rangemaster! I love the classic electric one, the colour and the style are what I would envisage in my ‘ideal’ kitchen! Good luck with the move next week! xx

    • I wish I had room for the rangemaster, but the new kitchen is really small. x

  2. All are gorgeous but I love three the most. I want a big oven when I one day have a big kitchen. I currently have a Beko Induction top oven with a grill and fan. I love it to be honest, the induction hob is fantastic but a pain when wanting new pans.

    • Me too. Want a big oven, but just don’t have the space for it I’m afraid.

  3. We had a Belling range in one of our old houses and I loved it. We plan to get another once we do the kitchen but for now we have a basic one. A girl can dream though 😉

    • I might have to wait too, before getting a new one. I haven’t crunched the numbers yet. But I have a feeling we won’t be able to afford it when we move just yet.

  4. I like the belling one, it would definitely go the best in our kitchen! it’s probably the most expensive knowing me :p !!

    • Would love to have the Belling too, but I doubt if it will fit in our small kitchen 😉

  5. These do look fab! I have never had a range but imagine it would be really useful when cooking a roast or more than one dish at a time. Our oven is tiny and so It would be nice to get something like this one day but would need a bigger kitchen too 🙂 a mum can dream!

  6. I would be happy with any of these in my kitchen! Alas, my budget, and kitchen space, does not expand as much as would be needed! Had to make do with a budget electric cooker from the Hydro shop!

    • I’m afraid I’m the same. The new kitchen is smaller than our current one.

    • I know, I’m the same. I would love to be able to have a cooker with two ovens. But I’m afraid at the moment, we just don’t have the space either. x

    • I’m glad you like them too Alina. I’m not particularly fond of gas either, too paranoid for it . x

  7. In my ideal home which ive created with Pinterest images ha, I would have an Aga, I just love the idea of it x

  8. I always wanted a range cooker and was so excited when we got ours, but we have had so many problems with it. My husband now works in the kitchen industry and advises people to buy two single ovens and install them side by side with a large hob over the top as they’re easier to replace if things go wrong

    • Really? Thank you so much! This is certainly worth having a re-think. x

  9. My kitchen is too modern for a range but it is the ONE THING I would love to just shoe horn into it – they are soooooo amazing! I love the retro looking ones too.

    • I wish I had a bigger kitchen, would want a bigger range cooker. But sadly might have to settle for the smaller ones.

  10. We have an Aga, but it’s ancient and doesn’t keep heat at the moment so it’s good for drying clothes but not really for cooking. Luckly we’ve got an electric oven as well. I’d like a new one (ours was a handmedown from the OH’s gran), but there’s an awful lot of stuff that needs sorting in the house first.

    • Yes, at least 1 and 2 are small ones and can easily fit in a small kitchen like ours.

    • Me too. I’ve been wanting a bigger cooker to, but just don’t have the space for it.

  11. Aww I would love to have an Aga!! They are just gorgeous!!! The perfect ones for a countryside home. Sadly, I live in London in a new building style flat so this looks unlikely to happen any time soon, x

    • Maybe in the future you can move to the country and have an Aga 😉 x

  12. I am loving these choices. I so wish I had a kitchen big enough for one of these. It’s going to be a few years before I get one unfortunately

  13. Hi Buddy
What a wonderful article you have shared with us. I thoroughly enjoyed reading your post. You have shared beautiful designs of Aga. I just loved all these designs. They are gorgeous. I like the Belling Eletric range cooker in stainless steel the most. This is looking very beautiful for kitchen purpose. The structure design is best among all other. I will definitely buy this for my kitchen. Thanks for sharing this post with us. I will look forward for more posts.
    Have a nice day ahead.
