I know I’ve been so slow in posting about our recent holiday and since we’ve finally managed to get our humongous pile of laundry done, (then again, we went camping with friends over the weekend, so now we have a new pile to get rid of, but since that’s a new one, I’m not stressing over that), for now I can sort of breath easy and now blog about our lovely trip … little by little.
Dover Castle as seen from our car.
We left my in-law’s place at Woburn Sands with ample time to catch the ferry from Dover, but in spite the early start, because of a broken lorry in the highway, we made it just in the nick of time.
And here we are, queuing and waiting for our turn to board the ferry.
Here’s little T getting impatient – “How long will it take mummy?!
The lovely chalk-side hills of Dover.
After more waiting, we were in! We stood in the drizzle, huddled in our coats, saying good-bye to dear-old-Blighty. France had the promise of warmer weather and more sunshiny days! Little did we know that, somehow we would be disappointed.
And here’s little T having her lunch at the food hall in the ferry.
Bonjour la France!
After a few more questions of “How long will it take mummy?!” France suddenly appeared in the horizon and I just had to take a photo, even though it isn’t a clear one. I ignored that grey cloud hovering over France, I naively thought that it would disappear as soon as we docked.
That didn’t happen of course.
To be continued ….
