This is Mutt. He was our dog long before T was born. For those of you who have been following my blog for some time now, you will know that he died when I was just a few months pregnant with little T. It took awhile for us to even think of getting another dog.
And of course, this is Doc. Again, for those of you who have been reading, you will all know that he is little T’s dog whom we got for her last year. He was only eight weeks old when we joined our little family. Now he’s about eight months, over-excitable and actually whinges and cries like his human.
The odd thing about this is that he is slowly looking and behaving like our old dog Mutt. We didn’t do it on purpose. We didn’t exactly go out and hunt for a dog that would resemble our old one. All we wanted was a medium-sized dog for little T. We didn’t intend to find a dog that would resemble Mutt in appearance. Somehow it just happened. If I believed in doggie reincarnation, I would probably think that our Mutt has come back to us through Doc. Sometimes I even hold Doc’s head in my hand, look at his eyes and say “Mutt is that you?” I know it’s silly and may even sound unfair to Doc. Doc is Doc and has his own personality. He is his own person, erm… doggie.
