Garden Blooms, Itchy Fingers and other News

One of the reasons why I love summer is that our little garden is always in full bloom.  I love sweet peas.  I love them in the garden, such sweet little flowers and the best bit is that they grow so fast and you have to keep picking them.  There’s always enough flowers for the whole house!  When I’m an old woman and back in my home country, I’ll always remember how much I love sweet peas and summer in England.

And of course, the other blooms as well.

Oh and yes, I’m having itchy fingers again.  I’ve been itching to change my theme and lay-out again.  So please don’t be surprised if the next time you visit you’ll find a different theme once again.  Those lovely people who’ve been following my blog since the very beginning will know that I get itchy fingers every now and then.

In other news, little T is growing up so fast!  On the 26th of this month, she will be turning 3!  It’s amazing how much time does go by – not so fast please, I want to be able to enjoy my little girl more.  Perhaps, that’s a reminder that I should indeed do that – enjoy her more, before she turns 4, 5, 6 and before you know it – she’ll be a teenager who’ll want to spend more time with her friends than with her little old mom.  Oh dear.  I do dread that day.

Also, we are expecting guests!  Old friends who have known both me and my husband since our Ghana days.  Whoopie-bloody-doo-dah!  The first one arrives tomorrow, he also happens to be my daughter’s Godfather.  Yay.  And the other one used to be our flatmate in Accra, he’ll be arriving on the first week of September.  Woo-hoo!  Now let’s hope the weather cooperates …

Have a great weekend everyone.

  1. Hi! It’s my first time here. Those are pretty flowers. We only have a small garden in our balcony so we can’t really plant much.

I also understand getting those itchy fingers. I just recently migrated my blog to WordPress and can’t wait until I can change my theme again. 🙂

    • Thanks for dropping by! I try to stay with the theme at least for about three months before changing, but sometimes I get fed up and not follow my own rule =) But who cares? That’s part of the fun, right?

  2. lovely flowers, lovely photo! i totally understand itchy fingers – i feel them always tweaking our blog. a little here, a little there.

    • I think being able to tweak our blogs every now and then is part of the fun of blogging right? I really ought to stick to one theme for at least three months! Thanks for dropping by =)
