Football and Me

african cup

The first football match I ever went to was the finals of the African Cup 2008 in Accra, Ghana, where Egypt won over Cameroon.

The next two games were nothing much, well because, my husband supports his hometown football club – the Luton Football club which is, let’s just say, they are not in the same league as Manchester United or any of the major football club for that matter.

And then the Olympic 2012 football game in the Old Trafford in Manchester between New Zealand and Egypt (what’s with me and Egypt?!), NZ won. Next match was Brazil V Belarus, Brazil won of course.  But Belarus gave up a good fight especially during the first half of the game.  My husband was disappointed with the Brazilian players, he expected more from them.

I’m really glad we went as I enjoyed the whole thing, even my daughter seemed to have enjoyed it too – she hardly whinged and even fell asleep during the second half of the Brazil V Belarus game in spite the roars and shouts from the crowd.

I wonder what kind of football match will I watch next?  Probably another Luton Town game.  Oh well.
