Happy New Year!

If the New Year hasn’t arrived yet on your side of the world, like ours, what are you doing later?

As for us, we are putting our little one to bed, same time, around 8.

Then my husband and I are plonking ourselves in front of the TV to wait for the New Year, after doing all our chores of course.  At about 11:30, we are going to prepare a sea food platter of prawns, crabmeat, salmon, salad and wine – that is if we haven’t fallen asleep yet.  Nothing exciting like going out to get wasted – I don’t even remember the last time we did that!  But when you have a little one, things like that just don’t happen anymore.

ANYWAY, Happy New Year one again to everyone.  Hope the next year is better for all of us.

We are going to play it by ear. Anyway, we have been going to bed later this Winter Break. I might make us some pasta shells with meatballs, dinner rolls, broiled chicken, and cheesy baked potatoes with Italian and herb sauce. Some red wine, too. When the clock strikes 12:00 mn, we are going to whip out our torotots (horns) and make as much noise as we can possibly make. Don’t forget to have your 12 kinds of rounded fruits for good luck. We couldn’t find 12 kinds, so we’ll just make sure we have 12 rounded fruits in the fruit bowl and add bananas for good measure. :)p

    • We ended up eating earlier. Then took Tam to bed, she woke up quarter to 12! Watched the firework display in London on TV. There were also a few fireworks here. When Tam saw the fireworks from her window, she said “Hello fireworks!”. Hahahaha.
