When we first moved down here, my mother-in-law said to me “Don’t worry Dean, it doesn’t snow in Cornwall”. On the early days of January 2010, it did.
I was probably around a month or two pregnant with little T when this photo of Mutley up in the headland was taken. Since it was a bit of a novelty for snow down here, the local BBC asked people to send in their snowy pictures and I sent the photo above.
T has never seen it, so I’m hoping that it would once again snow down here where we live. It usually snows up in higher-ground, in the moors like in Dartmoor, so we are thinking of driving up there just for her to experience some snow. We might even take little Doc with us too! 🙂
Does it snow where you live?

Have a lovely week everyone!
It doesn’t snow in Atlanta! Well, when it does, it’s an inch or so, then melts by lunchtime (after the city goes into a panic lol).
Sounds like the kind of snow we have here too! 🙂
What a lovely photo of Mutley in the snow – the snow falling on your blog just adds to the effect. Definitely a photo to treasure. I’m sure Doc would love Dartmoor, it’s supposed to be amazing too. We’re in Guildford so have quite a bit of snow – it’s great although they don’t grit our road! A lovely story, thank you for sharing #whatsthestory
Oh you’re so lucky to have lots of snow! Hope they grit your road this year though 🙂
I used to live at the base of a mountain range, and oh man did we get snow! (I’d sit with binoculars in the living room and watch the skiers come down the mountain!). Where I live now we seldom get snow, and I am completely and totally okay with that!! We also never get the ice storm that we are currently in the midst of… so I guess anything is possible!
Watching through binoculars, sounds exciting! Would love to experience that, but I don’t think I’d want to live in a place with that kind of snow… maybe once in awhile 🙂
Last year, we got three feet of snow in 24hrs at one point… That was fun?! Last night it snowed, so the school run was interesting. Only an inch or so, but enough to make pushing the buggy hard work! I could live without snow…!
Hmm. Does not sound like fun indeed.
I would not have thought that snow can make it to Cornwall!
I come from Switzerland and I live in Germany now, so I know all about snow… 😉 xx
Would so love to experience that kind of snow, not the treacherous kind 🙂 Thanks for dropping by! 🙂
that would be so cool if it snowed for little T and her new pal. Of course not. No snow here unless we travel to the local mountains which actually isn’t so far. We could hit the mountains, the desert and the beach all in one day, it’s true.
I’m so envious. You have a choice between snow on the mountains or the beach! 🙂
What a stunning photo! We are in Brighton so it’s not common but i guess the last few years have been more than usual! Love it 🙂
Thanks Katie. I wonder if we have any chance of snow this year, again not the treacherous kind, just enough to make it look magical 🙂
wow thats a snow scene and a half!! i love snow for an hour but then hate it! lol
thanks for linking up with #MagicMoments x
You’re most welcome! Loving it every week 🙂
I know how you feel, it is a few years since we have seen snow and the triplets can hardly remember it now.
Yes, it would be nice to see it again. But I’m a bit careful with my words, because I know how dangerous it can be.
Snow? Haha…it snows once every blue moon! Like where you are we don’t get much of it. We’re pretty close to the Gulf Coast that’s why. It snows every now and then a bit birthday of us, too, but not here and not a lot.
You guys can go up and visit our cousins in NY or NJ! ;P It snows a lot there.
