Beach Huts

Don’t you just love beach-huts?  I do!

B is also for Beach

I absolutely love this photo of children playing on the sand, with a sailboat and a Grand-dad (or dad) watching them.

This is definitely what summer is all about, don’t you agree?

Both photographs by the way, were taken about two summers ago at the Jurassic coast in Dorset.

Linking this post up with PODcast’s Alphabet Photography Project.

Do check out all the other lovely photographs.

    • Me too, especially the beaches here in England, though I never go in the water, it’s always too cold! 😉

  1. Excited when I saw your title. I love beach huts. Especially the colourful ones. Just love holidays on the beach. Not sunbathing, but getting out and sailing. Must book a holiday soon. Now see what you’ve done! #AlphabetPhoto

    • Same here. It’s just lovely to be out and about on the beach in lovely glorious sunshiny weather 🙂 Come to Cornwall, we’ve got lovely beaches around here 😉

    • Thanks Merlinda. I think it has more to do with natural light than any other “technique” which I don’t have AT ALL. I love photography but don’t know ANYTHING about it. I just like taking photos and we are also lucky that we live in such beautiful surroundings. It’s really just a matter of capturing them – point and shoot 😉

  2. Oh wow I love both these photographs. It always looks wonderful in Dorset. Great beach huts and the photo of the kids is great. Thank you so much for sharing and joining in #alphabetphoto

  3. I love beach huts, from the outside they can be so pretty. But even better is trying to get a peek inside to see how people use them 🙂 My parents used to have one in Hunstanton and it’s amazing how many people tried this as they went past (and now I’m one of them!)

    • That’s interesting! I’ve never tried to peek, but like you I’ve always wondered what it looked like inside and like you said, some of them are even so pretty from the outside, it must even be lovelier inside 🙂

Ah I love those beach huts, it sends me right back to my childhood when we used to visit my grandparents!
