A Country Kid’s Post: Underneath the Cornish Sky

The weather did improve over the weekend, but it was only for one day.  Thankfully we managed to spend some time of it outdoors, if only to walk the dog in our usual jaunt, up the headland.

Let’s have a race, says T.  Even before her dad and I could answer, she was up and running.

I’m glad I managed to grab the camera before heading out, the colour of the sky and sea was absolutely amazing.

I think Cornish skies are one of the best!

Then again I know I’m biased because we live here.

What do you think?

Do share.

I love Falmouth too. Haven’t been there in awhile though.

Looks like the good weather is here to stay this week. Hopefully it won’t change!

  1. Ah wow, it’s really beautiful! Hopefully the weather will get better soon, so you guys can enjoy even more. x

Looks like the good weather is here to stay … At least for this week

Oh no. Hope the weather over there improves. We’ve got lovely weather here this week… hope it lasts though.

  2. Lovely photos! I agree – the colour of the sky and the grass are amazing! I tend to think of Devon & Cornwall as pretty wet because it always seems to rain when I go (!), but I agree that any time I’ve been and the sun has been out the skies (& sea) have been very beautiful!

I know what you mean… For some weird reason, it is always raining during the bank holiday weekends and every time I see tourists come in… I honestly feel sorry for them.

  3. I have always wanted to visit Cornwall and these photos just make me want to more. You have taken some beautiful photos and I agree it gives the best pictures x

  4. Well of course I agree wholeheartedly! When the sun shines there is nowhere more beautiful and living as close as you do to the sea is everyone’s dream. I don’t blame T racing to the headland. Thank you for sharing with me on #CountryKids

  5. Great pics, how lovely to be able to walk to the sea, and what a great day to capture. As soon as we see the sun it’s gone again! Hoping for a return soon. #countrykids

  6. Oh, lovely seeing pics of Cornwall. We had a lovely holiday, based in Tintagel, a couple of years ago. Hillier on the coast than I had expected, which meant the buggy was a bit tricky at times, but gorgeous. 🙂

    • There are definitely loads of hills down here and I agree, not good for the buggy. Best to put the little ones on a sling 😉
